BERTHA MITCHELL (nee FOULDS) Bertha joined the Lord on Friday, January 30, 2004 at the new Grace Hospice, with her daughter and son-in-law at her side. Bertha was born on November 1, 1916, in Argyle to Hubert and Emily Foulds. She was the second child of five children. She served in the Second World War and was stationed in Ottawa. In 1980 she retired from the Victoria General Hospital, moved to BC and just recently moved back home to Winnipeg in May, 2003. Bertha was predeceased by her husband Edward (Ted) her father and mother; and two brothers, Russell and Wilfred. She leaves to mourn three children, Muriel (Doug), Al (Sandra) and Glen; four grandchildren, Wanda, Mandy, Cameron and Daniel; two sisters, Pearl and Audrey; and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of Berthas life will be held at Mackenzies Funeral Home in Stonewall on Saturday, February 7, at 11:00 a.m. Major Cath McFarlane will officiate. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations can be made to Grace Hospice in Berthas name.
